Spring is here… almost
The mercury in the thermometer is barely passing 32 degrees. The calendar still says it’s 15 days into February. Despite these things, Spring is here.
Spring training, that is. The time of year when we Cub fans are our most optimistic.
The Cubs have their big off-season signing, Japanese outfielder Kosuke Fukudome, in camp. I’m thankful that seasoned vets like Carlos Zambrano are making him feel at home.
This should be a very good year in Wrigley Field. Hopefully it’ll be so good that the Cubs will break a century-old drought and win the World Series for the first time since 1908.
Or at least a guy can hope, right?
